MBM has established itself as the market leader in the UK for potatoes and organic produce. MBM is a progressive company, employing over 800 staff in the UK across sixteen business units. Cyberaid is based in Haverhill, Suffolk and supplies Payroll and Human Resources software to a wide base of users in the UK.
In recent years, MBM has used the HR module provided with their business ERP system to manage staff payroll across its numerous sites. However, legislative upgrades aside, this had not been developed and was considered to be at the end of its lifecycle. After a thorough review process conducted throughout the Summer of 2003, MBM chose Cyberaid’s Adaptiv integrated Payroll and HR solution to support its business objectives in this key area.
Nigel Baker, Company Secretary of MBM Produce said, “our old system provided us with basic and reliable payroll processing capabilities but the user interface was poor, reporting options were very limited and there was no ability to link payroll processing to our time and attendance systems let alone the various HR databases which had sprung up across the Company to satisfy local management needs.
Being an Investor in People Company with 800+ colleagues based across 16 sites in the UK, we were becoming very aware of our shortcomings in this respect and decided to seek an independent solution to consolidate our existing systems, to satisfy all our legal requirements and to help us to manage our people assets much more cohesively.
Cyberaid’s staff quickly understood our key requirements and their expert knowledge of this whole area was most impressive. Their Adaptiv solution will provide us with a flexible, integrated, feature rich, single database solution configured exactly as MBM require. For the first time, MBM will have the HR system it needs to fully serve both its business and the development of its employees. We will be taking advantage of Teamtrak Adaptiv’s many features to improve the efficiency of our internal processes and I am confident that this will add further to my existing belief that Adaptiv is one of the best value independent solutions currently available in the UK.
